Triple-Wide Carport Dimensions

Standard triple carports come between 26′ and 30’ wide, but we can always custom build wider according to your needs and preferences. A 26’-wide unit can cover three compact cars, but it doesn’t leave much room to move. We recommend going with a width of 30’ (or greater) to give you more wiggle room, and to allow space to accommodate larger vehicles should you ever have a need.

Standard carport length starts at 21’, but you can increase by 5′ increments to whatever length you like. This is nice if you have a long truck, or if you’re going to enclose your carport and just want to have a few extra feet of storage space for shelving, supplies, or whatever. Regarding height, we can customize that according to your needs as well!

Triple-Wide Carport Plans

The style of triple carport you should choose depends on the functionality and options you desire, as well as your budget. The regular (rounded) roof style is the most economical. There are also two A-frame style roof options: the boxed eave style with horizontal metal sheeting, and the vertical style with vertical metal sheeting. The vertical style roof is the premium option because it is stronger, and the vertical orientation of the sheeting prevents accumulation of snow or pooling of rainwater. You can opt to leave the ends and sides of your triple carport open, enclose any walls you choose or go for the full enclosure to create a secure triple garage building. Triple Carport with Utility Storage

Another good option to consider is the ability to add some utility building space to your triple carport. You can enclose just the back area of the triple carport, creating a shed for secure storage. Note that we can certify your triple carport to minimum local snow/wind speed ratings; depending on your state and local regulations, having a certified structure may be required in your area. Certified structures also come with blueprints, should that be a requirement for your local building permit process.
