You want to complete your metal garage with something sturdy that will stand up against the elements. Choosing your roof style is one of the first, and most important, steps to designing your custom metal building. Our vertical roof is the strongest type you can get on your steel structure.
Vertical roofs are the best choice for areas that experience extreme weather such as high winds and heavy snowfall. The vertical paneling helps snow, fallen leaves, rain, and other debris slide right off the roof and its rugged design helps keep your garage from being blown over. The support from steel reinforcements underneath allows the steel garage to withstand the heavy load of snow. Due to this feature of vertical steel sheeting, vertical style garages are much easier to maintain. Our enclosed vertical garages are also more durable, versatile, and cost-effective. Along with their paneling, these structures are engineered with ridge caps and a hat channel that provide additional stability and protection.
The most common use for vertical roof garages is as a safeguard for vehicles and outdoor equipment from the elements. Many customers also exercise the freedom to adapt their new custom structure to suit a variety of needs. For example, you could add a lean-to onto your new vertical garage, section off the interior space, and use the unit as a dog kennel. This provides a safe home for your beloved animals while also providing space for storing your tools, vehicles, lawn equipment, and other valuables inside the garage. You could also add electricity and plumbing to create a comfortable living area or office space for your side business. Our vertical steel garages are engineered to have a flexible design, enabling our customers to suit almost any purpose.
Standard sizes for vertical roof garages start at 12’ wide and 21’ long and can be designed as wide and as long as you need. While there are limits to the maximum dimensions of metal buildings with regular or boxed-eave roofs, the added strength a vertical roof provides allows us to build to practically any desired size dimensions you may have, as long as your site is big enough and is properly leveled. The size dimensions you choose for your vertical steel garage will obviously be a primary factor in pricing the unit. Other factors that affect price include installation location, manufacturer, and any custom options you may choose to add. We have partnerships with almost 30 manufacturers across the country, each of them supplying us with their own pricing sheets. After taking the stated factors into consideration, we will finalize the price of your new garage using the pricing sheet. A standard 12’W x 21’L vertical roof garage has a base price of $1,400.
