• Colors – We offer a variety of standard and premium color options to choose from. You can choose your ideal color combination for the roof, trim, and walls of your unit from these options.
• Doors and Windows – You can choose from our variety of garage doors, walk-in doors, windows, and frame-outs for easy access points and a source of natural lighting. These can also be used for aesthetic purposes.
• Roof Styles – There are three roof styles to choose from at Carport Central, including a regular, A-frame horizontal, and vertical design. Both our regular and A-frame horizontal styles are installed with horizontal panels while the vertical style is installed with vertically aligned paneling.
• Gauge of Frame – We offer a 12-gauge steel framing and a 14-gauge steel framing here at Carport Central. As the industry standard, our 14-gauge framing is commonly used for non-certified structures; its diameter measures at 2 ½” x 2 ½”. Our 12-gauge framing is a thicker, stronger option for steel structures. Its diameter measures at 2 ¼”x 2 ¼” and it is most commonly used for certified units.

It isn’t required, but if you plan to use your building as a home, studio, workspace, or similar purpose, you should consider insulating it. Insulation reduces the flow of heat out of the structure and reduces condensation.

2. What are the color options provided by Carport Central?

We have 16 total color options to choose from, 14 of them being standard colors and 2 of them being premiums. The premium choices, Crimson Red and Copper, are only available in the 26-gauge sheet paneling and they are offered at a higher price.

3. Which type of roof is recommended for a 40×80 metal building?

For all structures longer than 36’, you are required to have a vertical roof installed. Vertical roofs are designed with additional braces for support and can withstand higher wind and snow loads.

4. How long does it take to erect a 40×80 metal building?

The assembly time required for a 40’W x 80’L metal building will depend on the installation location, your current weather conditions, and if the assembly site has been properly prepared.
