Metal Carports with Vertical Roof

vertical-roof-carport

Did you surprise your daughter with her first car for her sweet-sixteen? Or maybe you upgraded to a brand-new F-250? No matter what your situation may be, you’ll want to provide the best possible protection for your vehicles. Our vertical roof style carports are exactly what you need; they are long-lasting, versatile, and affordable!

Our vertical roof is the top-selling, most popular style offered at Carport Central. It is highly-recommended for customers who reside in an area that has high winds and excessive amounts of precipitation. The vertical panels are adhered to the roof using cross braces, and the open space on the convergence of the roof is covered using ridge caps and a hat channel. The orientation of the paneling is also great for guiding rain, snow, and other debris off the roof of the carport. Due to this feature of vertical steel sheeting, this structure is much easier to maintain.

Features of Vertical Roof Style Carports

At Carport Central, we understand that every customer has unique needs and financial statuses. Due to this, we offer a wide variety of customization options to choose from while personalizing your new metal structure. Below are a few of the choices offered:

  • Roof Styles – Choosing the correct roof style based on your local weather is an important aspect to the design process. We have three types for customers to choose from: regular (good), A-frame/boxed-eave (better), and vertical (best).
    • Out of the three styles offered, Carport Central’s regular roof is the most economical. It has horizontal paneling and is recommended for areas that experience moderate weather conditions.
    • Similar to that of the regular roof, our A-frame roofs (boxed-eave), are also engineered with horizontal-oriented paneling. This style is more affordable since it does not require the hat-channel pieces needed with a vertical roof. It is recommended for areas that may have some high winds, but do not get a lot of snow or rain.
  • Colors – There are up to 16 color options available, varying by your location and the manufacturer, at no extra cost to you. We also have a two-tone (wainscot) deluxe package.
  • Dimensions – Selecting the right size for your custom metal carport is important. You’ll want to make sure that it can fulfill all your current needs as well as those that may occur in the future. Uses for Vertical Roof Style Carports

Vertical roof carports are not limited to just protecting your vehicles, rather they have many useful purposes. With such flexible designs, vertical roof style carports are able to adapt to your ever-changing needs and requirements. For example, you can fully-enclose your carport with extra paneling to convert it into a new garage. The full-enclosure provides additional protection while providing room for repairs or maintenance. If you would like to get a few ideas, you can visit our gallery of vertical roof steel garages. Or if you’re looking to have more storage, you can easily add a storage unit to convert your metal carport into a utility storage building. Don’t settle for anything less than what you want or need, put your imagination to the test and design your dream building! If you would like to have assistance during the process, we have professional building specialists ready to help when needed.

Things to Consider BEFORE Investing

  • Do you have an installation site that meets requirements? Every structure must be assembled on a level site, no matter the foundation type. If one of our crews arrive on the scheduled delivery day and your space is not level, you will have to re-schedule and a return-trip fee will be charged.
  • Based on your location and the weather conditions there, you may or may not have to certify your structure. A certified building is one that has been engineered to meet local wind and snow ratings. For more information on certifications and requirements, you can speak with your local ordinances. Keep in mind that you will need to inform your building specialist of any requirements and certifications.
  • Depending on your area’s local building codes, a permit may be required to install a metal structure on your land. Your local municipality can provide additional information about permits and building codes. If a permit is required, please let your building specialists know.

Sizes and Prices

The standard size for a vertical roof carport is 12’W x 21’L for $1,400 and can be designed as wide and as long as you need or want. There are limits to the maximum size of a regular roof or A-frame structure, but you can have your vertical roof structure any desired size you have.

The size dimensions you choose for your vertical roof carport will definitely play a factor in the price of your structure. Other factors included in finalizing the price of your metal carport are the added customizations, installation site, and the manufacturer. Carport Central partners with over 20 manufacturers across the U.S., each supplying us with their individual pricing sheets. Using the right pricing sheet and considering all the mentioned factors, we can determine the final price of your building.
