Why Some Metal Building Buyers Panic After Buying

Let’s be honest, purchasing a metal building isn’t like tossing a few things into your cart at the grocery store. It’s an investment. And with any investment, it’s natural to second guess yourself.

You may find yourself thinking, “Did I choose the right size?”, “Should I have added more doors or windows?”, “Did I miss anything important?” or even “What happens now?”

If this feeling sounds familiar, we are here to assure you that you are not alone and most importantly, there is nothing wrong with feeling the way that you are feeling.

Why That “Uh-Oh” Feeling Happens

After any type of investment, it is normal to second guess yourself. Especially with something as customizable as  a metal building.

There are so many choices upfront from choosing the right size, the perfect layout, the right amount of doors and windows, then you have to choose the color that matches with the building’s surroundings, and then the add-ons. All the while trying to think ahead and plan for how you may use it further down the road. Because truly when you are trying to find the perfect metal structure, it’s not just about what you need today, but what you might need months or years down the road. Which adds to the pressure to “get everything just right.”

But here’s the truth: there is rarely one perfect option. There are many solid choices that work well depending on your needs. The feeling of uncertainty doesn’t mean that you have made the wrong decision, it just means you made an important one.

The good news? That feeling fades as you become more familiar with what happens next and see your project take shape.

So… What Happens Next?

You have placed the order and now you think, “Okay, what do I do now?”

Honestly, the only thing to do is wait, but also understand that your order is moving through a structured, step-by-step process. This process is designed to ensure that everything is accurate, coordinated, and ready for  a smooth installation. Here’s a simple look at what goes on:

Order Review

Your order is reviewed carefully in order to make sure all the details, dimensions, features, and placement are correct. This helps to prevent any surprises from happening later in the project.

Processing and Payment

Once your order has been verified, our processing team works with you to complete any required documentation and finalize payment details.

Manufacturer Coordination

After your order has been processed and a payment has been received, your order will be sent to our manufacturing team. You will receive a call verifying details once again. This step acts as an additional checkpoint to confirm that everything is correct before materials are prepared and scheduled for production.

Scheduling

From there, scheduling begins. Installation timing is coordinated based on several factors. Manufacturing timelines, crew availability, and your location. While exact dates can vary, this step ensures your project is placed into the installation queue and moving toward installation

Installation

Once your scheduled date arrives, a professional crew comes out to your property to install the structure. As long as the site is properly prepared, the installation process is typically quick and straightforward.

It is important to keep in mind that while you may not receive daily updates, your project is actively progressing through each stage. Understanding this process helps to reduce uncertainty and gives you a more clear picture of what is happening with your order from the time you place your order up until the day your building is installed.

The Bottom Line

If you are feeling a little unsure after placing your order, that’s completely normal, especially with such a significant investment. It is important to remember that the feeling of uncertainty, doesn’t mean that you have made a bad decision, it just means you care about getting it right.

As your project progresses and you start to see the project take shape, the initial worry tends to go away. Plus, if you do have questions that pop up along the way, you don’t have to figure it out alone. There’s a team ready to help you every step of the way.
