A year like no other …

Although this year has been filled with its fair share of challenges for everyone, Carport Central has faced the challenges before us and grown as a company in many positive ways. Throughout the year, we have witnessed unprecedented growth, received humbling awards, and had multiple opportunities to help our local community!

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

In March amid the COVID-19 restaurant restrictions, Carport Central launched a “Support Local” social media campaign to encourage businesses to support neighborhood eating establishments through ordering delivery or take out for lunch/dinner breaks. During this time, we placed many orders with local restaurants for our own staff as well.

On Oct. 30th, we hosted a free Drive-Thru Trunk-or-Treat for the members of our community. We were honored to provide a safe event for children to celebrate Halloween!

Carport Central is a proud continued supporter of the Mount Airy Rotary Club. In late November, we had the honor of helping them deliver 300 food boxes to families in need within our community. This was our second year assisting with the food distribution and we hope to continue in the years to come!

In Nov. and Dec. we were able to help promote and raise over $23,000 for G.A.K.A.C. to ensure that children in need in Surry Co. would have warm clothes, food, and toys for Christmas. Our GM, Jeffrey Trenter, is also the newest member on the board of directors for the organization.

MOVED INTO NEW HEADQUARTERS

In August, we were able to move into our newly renovated headquarters at 1018 Rockford St. in Mount Airy, NC. This beautiful office space not only allows us to bring our different departments together under one roof, it also allows us to be more present in the community for local customers.
