The Myrtle Beach Pelicans – a Single-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs located in Myrtle Beach, SC – recently reached out to us with a need to add a new batting cage practice facility for the Pelicans Ballpark complex. We absolutely love taking on projects like this, and we were happy to oblige! While we’ve successfully designed and installed batting cages for other customers before, we were pumped up and motivated to get this one right for the Pelicans. The pitching staff gave us a good idea of what they were looking for, and we were able to help design a perfect 17’ x 63’ x 14’ open-air batting cage to meet their needs. Once the fabrication of the custom steel building components was complete, we then installed this rugged, durable steel shelter which features a vertical roof, gable ends, and trim all decked out in Pelicans blue. And while the pictures do it a fair amount of justice, we can tell you that this building looks even better in person!

This particular batting cage was installed on a poured concrete foundation, but we can also install on a number of other level surfaces, including asphalt, gravel, and plain hard ground.
